Comments: I was extremely excited to purchase this egg... Doc Johnson seemed like a good brand (I'd actually heard of them!), and I have never before owned an egg vibrator. I was excited at the prospect of getting to use it secretly with my boyfriend toting the remote, and with 7 functions, decided the pricey lil gadget would hopefully last a good long while.

It takes a whopping 6 cell batteries in the egg, and one small 1N battery in the remote. Not terribly easy to find, but not impossible. The 7 functions were variable, decent but not all that powerful. I was hoping for more of a jolt, or a fun way to turn me on. It was just kind of...there, and tingly. Rather disappointing!

The egg was quite comfy, and I like the "velvet touch" though I found the seam in the center to be rather unhygienic. Also, many places online advertise this as a fun waterproof device, and it IS NOT! If you look at the packaging, it specifically says " Do not use while bathing or in the shower."

The remote and the egg both have wires that (I believe) are both "antenna" to send and recieve frequencies. However, the antenna on the remote is a keychain, and you have to pull on the antenna on the egg to take it out, and neither seems to be all that practical for long term use, as the wires could easily short out.

The battery life is horrendous! From the time I bought it, I may have gotten...an hour? tops? (not all at once, either, mind you) out of this toy before it started acting up. All of a sudden, the remote stopped controlling the egg, or the egg would just randomly shut off, or the on/off button started skipping through the functions, or the function button stopped working. Luckily, I bought spare batteries, but it seems to have a mind of its own. No fun if the boy has to continuously press the buttons to keep the darn thing from shorting out!

All in all, I like the idea, but the power wasn't strong enough, and it had poor design, with a lot of electronic issues. I may research trying a stronger NIMH battery (it comes with crummy alkalines) but, most likely, I'll be returning this, and looking for something more reliable.
If you want to take a chance, fine by me, but, save your hard earned cash, and look for something that works.
