Sasha Grey Love Spit Lube

Friday, July 15th, 2011

While Sasha Grey has left the adult industry for the likes of Entourage and Eminem videos, we’ll always have her spit.

Doc Johnson has managed to replicate her saliva for our personal use.  It’s a little weird, but I’m okay with it.Sasha Grey Love Spit Lube

Sasha Grey Love Spit Lube:

“Crossover superstar Sasha Grey says the best lube is spit. We say if it ain’t spit it ain’t love. Sasha Grey’s Love Spit from Doc Johnson is a waterbased lubricant formulated to look and act like the real thing. Swap some with your partner tonight.

2 oz. bottle.

Ingredients: Water (Aqua), Glycerin, Polyquaternium-7, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Sodium Polyacrylate, PVM/MA Copolymer, Chlorhexidine Gluconate, Gluconolactone, Methylparaben, Sodium Hydroxide.

It does contain glycerin and I’m pretty bummed about it.   If you have sensitivities, then this isn’t the lube for you.  If not, you should give this stuff a go.  I’m totally curious has to how much it simulates saliva.  Does it feel like any old water based lube, or does it feel like a magical porn/ cross over goddess bestowed her spittle upon thee?

Earthly Body’s Waterslide Lubricant

Monday, February 21st, 2011

It’s been a while since we’ve talked about lube, so I thought I’d write up a review for one of my new favorites, Earthly Body’s Waterslide.

The first thing I consider when checking out a new lubricant is the ingredients list. If a company doesn’t care enough for my health to make a body-safe product, I’m not going to spend my money with them. Earthly Body has nothing to worry about because they obviously put some thought into their formulation. Waterslide is sugar, glycerin and paraben-free. I try to avoid all three!

Three is apparently the magic number, because that is exactly how many ingredients you’ll find in this bottle of vegan water-based lube: Purified Water, Propanediol (Natural Humectant) and Natural Carrageenan (Sea Plant). I don’t know about you, but I like the sounds of that!

While that’s all well and good, what really counts is how well a product works and I can definitely recommend Waterslide. I’ve got enough lube to last a lifetime and this one works as well as my favorites. The only complaint I have is that it has a bit of an odd taste. It’s not horrible, but I could do without it.

Because it is a water-based lube, it’s safe to use with condoms and toys of all types. I have a lot of silicone toys, so I always make sure to have a bottle of water-based slick stuff on hand to use with them. Silicone-based lubes will ruin your expensive silicone toys, so make sure to never use them together!

If you’re looking for an all-natural product that works well without one hundred thousand extra chemicals, you should definitely check out Earthly Body’s Waterslide!

Slippery Stuff – Product Review

Wednesday, April 28th, 2010

Lube is really important, but sometimes it’s also really expensive. While I believe that you often get what you pay for, I’m always looking for a great deal and I totally found one when I picked up a bottle of Slippery Stuff Liquid lubricant!

Because I love my silicone sex toys, I always have a bottle of water-based lube. While I love silicone lube because it’s long lasting, you can’t use it with silicone toys because it will ruin them. I’ve never found a water-based product that lasts as long as silicone, but Slippery Stuff is a really great product for a few reasons.

The first thing I love is that this stuff is glycerin free. A lot of women have bad reactions to glycerin and it’s known to cause yeast infections. I avoid it at all costs and most women really should. It also doesn’t taste or smell like anything – which is really rare. I’d much rather taste my partner than chemicals any day!

The best thing about Slippery Stuff is that it really mirrors a woman’s natural wetness well. While I’ve yet to find a water-based lube that lasts all night long, all you need to do is add a few drops of water to re-activate this stuff.  Saliva works just as well and is a little bit more fun!

Just a few drops of this stuff and you’re good to go without and weird tastes, scary glycerin or worries about ruining your favorite silicone dong!  What’s even better is that it’s only $6.89 for this 4 ounce bottle!  With the money you’ll save by picking up Slippery Stuff, you can have all sorts of fun…

Looking for a new water-based lube, ladies?

Empowered Products’ Pink Water
is a lubricant made for women.  Pink Water is great if you’re looking for something to use with your favorite silicone dildos.  I love it because it’s glycerin-free, and since I’m not a fan of yeast infections, I avoid glycerin in my lube at all costs.

Pink Water is a water-based lubricant designed with the specific needs of women in mind. Pink Water is glycerin free and contains no pigment, so it does not stain fabrics. Fortified with Aloe Vera, it is gentle in on your skin and all sensitive areas.

Masturbation Month Must Have!

Monday, May 4th, 2009

liquidsexI’m sure you are all well aware that May is masturbation month!  That means it’s your duty, as good citizens of the world, to squeeze in as many minutes of self-lovin’ as you can.

With all of the wankin’ I expect everyone to be up to over the course of the next 27 days, we’re all going to need a little lube to keep things slippery and sexy.  I mean, no one expects you to rub yourself raw as a ode to this great month of masturbation!

I’ll be highlighting lubes throughout the month starting with Liquid Sex Classic, a water-based lube (which means it’s safe to use with silicone and latex) that’s a good basic lube.  It’s not greasy, cheap and a good value for those of you who are new to the lube game.

ps. women should know this product does have glycerin in it.  If you’re prone to yeast infections, you’re better off with something like O’My Natural Lube. It’s a little more pricey, but better for you if you’re sensative to glycerin.

If you don’t know much about lube, here’s the scoop on water-based lubes.
