Breast Cancer Awareness – Early Detection and Screening
Wednesday, October 13th, 2010October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and we’re spending some time here discussing issues related to the subject of prevention of breast cancer and detecting it early. The good news is that when breast cancer is detected early, it’s usually very treatable. But there are many different screening options available, and knowing which one is right for you is important.
Susan G. Komen for the Cure has an excellent resource collection on screening. You can find it here.
It contains a wealth of information about the different kinds of screening techniques available, and also has some interesting links to other related information. For instance, there’s a great to information about what to do if you find a lump. Did you know:
- Most lumps are not cancer
- Some lumps go away on their own
- Often lumps are related to menstrual cycles
In any case, you should consult your health care provider to make sure. We strongly suggest that you check out these great resources to find out more about the screening you should have.
And if you are in the market for a new sex toy this month, we’d appreciate your support for our Toys for Ta Tas campaign to raise money for Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
