5 Questions You Should Ask Before You Buy
When we go grocery shopping, we take many things into consideration before we buy. We may ask ourselves what we’re in the mood for. We may want to know which food is healthiest. We will want to make sure the food is clean and safe. Think of all of the questions you go through, and you’ll see what I mean.
When it comes to buying a sex toy, we should ask the right questions too. Sometimes, people are disappointed because they make a purchase and they don’t get the sex toy that is designed for what they want. Or they buy a toy that doesn’t feel right. All of this can be avoided by asking five simple questions before making a purchase.
These are the questions we suggest that you ask before adding an item to your cart:
1. What do I want to feel, or what do I want to stimulate?
Asking this question is essential. If you want to feel G-spot stimulation, buying a clitoral massager is a bad idea. The clitoral massager is not designed to stimulate the G-spot. That’s an obvious anecdote, but what about the more subtle choices? Some rabbits come with multiple stimulation functions. You can buy one that stimulates the G-spot, clitoris and labia simultaneously. Do you want that much stimulation, or do you want something simpler? Knowing what you want to feel is important.
2. Is this toy designed to create the feeling I want?
Going back to the first question, taking some time to look at different designs can help you find the right toy. Size matters with toys too. If you buy one that is too large or too small, you won’t enjoy it. Remember to check the details before you buy. Once you try a toy, you own it. You don’t want to own something that is of no use for you. Find more design information here.
3. What material do I want or need?
Some people have latex allergies. Some people don’t like toys that are too hard. Some don’t like toys that are too soft. The point is, picking a toy that is comfortable requires that you check in to materials. If you have allergies, you’ll probably want glass, hard plastic or silicone toys. Also, knowing what’s in a material is important. Some toys contain Phthalates, and research suggests that these may be dangerous. Glass, silicone, hard plastic and Cyberskin are Phthalate free. And are you planning to share the toy with your partner? If so, you’ll want a non-porous toy. You can find more information on materials here. Getting the right material is important.
4. How am I planning to incorporate the toy into my sexual repertoire?
This one sounds obvious, but it isn’t. For instance, if you want a toy to share with a partner, you’ll want to get input from your partner to pick a toy you’ll both enjoy. If you want a bath toy, you’ll need one that is waterproof. There are many aspects of what you want to do with a toy that will influence which toy you want.
And finally:
5. Which sex toy is best?
This one leads to the most fun of all. You’re going to have to experiment to find the perfect toy. And our moods change from time to time. All kinds of sensations can be discovered as we experiment with our bodies. The perfect toy may change as you discover these sensations.
One thing is certain, though. If you ask these questions before you buy, you’re far more likely to get a great sex toy than one you don’t want. Take some time to shop and while you do, ask these questions. You’ll be happier when the box full of pleasure arrives!
